Euro Security Safety Footwear

The brief called for a web site that would showcase the new range of Euro Security Safety Footwear. The company had recently commisioned the design of a brochure with another company and it was decided to base the look of the site on the brochure in order to ensure consistancy.

Although the Euro Security range of footwear currently comprises a limited number of styles, over time the number of styles of safety boots and shoes is expected to increase. The need to accommodate the addition of new styles of footwear to the site prompted the decision to build the site using a database and backend admin section that would ensure easy updating of the site and allow for scalability.

The look of the site is based on the existing Euro Security brochures to ensure a consistant look across all the marketing media. Flash graphics are used for all the images on the site to liven things up a little. The use of flash to display the actual product images means that the flash graphic used to display them needed to communicate with the database in order to enable future products added to the site are automatically integrated into the site without the need to produce new flash images or edit the existing ones.
