Calli Thomson Web Site

Calli Thomson required a web site that would provide background information about her, her musical qualifications and productions that she has been involved in. The site also needs to promote bands and groups that Calli plays in including Platform Jazz, Big Band Magic and Saxadelic, ideally generating new gigs and performance opportunities for them. 

To promote the various bands and groups each one was added to the CMS, on which the site is built, as a project using the projects module. This enabled an overview of each group or band to be displayed on its own search engine optimised page of the web site.  Images of the bands were added to the image gallery and thnaks to the relativity linking ability of the CMS, photos of any of the bands can be linked to the relevant bands project page and the related iomages displayed on the particular project page.

Other features include a gig guide based on the CMS Events module that makes it easy to add forthcoming gigs to the site as events. These events are then automatically displayed as current, forthcoming or past events based on the current date relative to the start end end dates of the events that have been added to the site.
