Sneakers outlets are found in many of the airports in South Africa and are one of countries top airport shopping retailers. The Airports Company of South Africa (ACSA) usually set very stringent requirements for the letting of the limited retail space available in South Africa's airports. Sneakers required 3D Interior design visuals of a proposed new store to present to ACSA as part of the presentation of thier tender bid to aquire space in Johannesberg International Airport.
At the time what made this store different from Sneakers existing stores is that it would introduce a new line of surfing clothing brands as well as the Jeep range of clothing and apparel.
Sneakers major brands have always been sports official merchandise with Rugby jerseys and rugby clothing and apparel for teams such as the Springboks, Sharks, Bull Bulls and Stormers as well as International teams such as the British Lions, All Blacks and Austrailia being their best sellers.
This store would see the introduction of surf brands such as Billabong, Quicksilver and Lizzard clothing and apparel to the merchandise mix. This would require providing a separate display area and design for the surfwear. The case was the same for the Jeep brand of clothing.
In the rugby and soccer sections of the site Sneakers also wanted to feature a changeroom scene comprising a mannequin dressed in Springbok Rugby Team kit for the Rugby section and Bafana Bafana kit for the football section of the store.
